Honorary Doctorate Awarding Ceremony of Professor David Cohen: A Report
On 18 April 2024, Professor Dr David Cohen was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. To mark the occasion, a ceremony was held in the Orangery’s baroque Water Hall. Accompanied by a musical programme, Professor Dr Hans-Dieter Spengler and Professor Dr Christoph Safferling gave two laudatory speeches, once again highlighting the work of the guest of honour. The event was followed by a workshop on the topic of “Human Rights in South-East Asia”, where a small group discussed with Professor Cohen.
